Suhoor is the meal eaten before Fajr. The Prophet ﷺ strongly encouraged it: 'Take suhoor, for in suhoor there is blessing' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1923).
Iftar — breaking the fast
Break the fast the moment Maghrib begins — don't delay. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The people will remain upon good as long as they hasten in breaking the fast' (Sahih al-Bukhari 1957).

Zakat al-Fitr
Zakat al-Fitr is a special charity due at the end of Ramadan, before the Eid prayer. Unlike annual Zakat, it is owed by every Muslim who has more food than they need for that day — including children and dependents. The head of the household usually pays for everyone.
Eid al-Fitr
Eid al-Fitr — the 'Festival of Breaking the Fast' — is the celebration on the 1st of Shawwal, the day after Ramadan ends. It is a day of gratitude, community, and joy.
